Jacks Elected BSJA Chairman

The British Show Jumping Association Executive Board met on the 27th January 2003 and elected John Jacks as Chairman of the Association unopposed.

John asked for a vote of thanks to be minuted to the Executive Board stating " Peter Gillespie has been Chairman through two unenviable years during which a considerable amount has been achieved. Notably Stallion Grading, Style and Performance Classes, Junior Winter and Summer Premier Shows along with the new Amateur Championships and I would like to express our thanks for his contribution. For myself the past six years of working on BSJA committees have given me valuable experience and knowledge that will assist me in my role as Chairman of the Association".

Clare Whitaker was elected Vice Chairman and continued as Chairman of the Pony Committee.

David Broome agreed to remain as Chairman of the International Affairs stating that he would be reviewing the International Affairs Policy for 2003 and Liz Edgar continues as Chairman of Rules.

Katrina Moore accepted the chairmanship for Training.

Peter Rust was again co-opted on to the Executive Board specifically for his expertise in financial matters.
