Craven Recovering In Florida

USA Equestrian Lifetime Achievement Awardee Clarence L. "Honey" Craven is recovering from back surgery, at age 98, in a Florida hospital.

Craven recently underwent successful surgery to eliminate persistent back pain, and is now recovering and undertaking physical therapy. Cards or letters for "Honey" can be sent to: Boulevard Manor, 2839 South Seacrest Blvd., Room W23B, Boynton Beach, FL 33435.

Craven has been associated with the National Horse Show Association in New York for over 70 years, as its Ringmaster, Manager, and Manager Emeritus. He has also been the Manager or Ringmaster at many of America's most esteemed equestrian events, including the Devon Horse Show in Pennsylvania, Pin Oak in Texas, Eastern States in Massachusetts, North Shore in New York, and countless others.

 

USA Equestrian Inc., as the National Equestrian Federation of the U.S., is the regulatory body for the Olympic and World Championship sports of dressage, driving, endurance, eventing, reining, show jumping, and vaulting, as well as 19 other breeds and disciplines of equestrian competition. As
the country's largest multi-breed organization, the Federation has over 80,000 members and recognizes more than 2,800 competitions nationwide each year. It governs all aspects of competition, including educating and licensing all judges, stewards, and technical delegates who officiate at these shows.
