Tampa, FLFebruary 21, 2002The 2002 Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series will offer separate Series for amateur-owner jumpers and for junior jumpers. Furthermore, the standings in these two Series will be used to determine which amateur-owner jumpers and which junior jumpers will qualify to ride in the 2002 National Horse Show. Each Series will feature two divisions, East and West. The Series will honor the winner of each division and will also hold a championship final at the National Horse Show. The Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series is sponsored by a grant provided by the National Horse Sports Foundation. 2002 Show Jumping Hall of Fame Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic Series Sponsored by the National Horse Sports Foundation Tentative Schedule * Indicates combined Junior/Amateur-Owner Class WEST CONFERENCE * Indicates combined Junior/Amateur-Owner Class The Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series gives Amateur-Owner and junior riders an opportunity to compete at higher levels and serves as a proving ground for riders who aspire to someday represent the United States in international competition. The focus of the Show Jumping Hall of Fame and Museum, Inc., located in Busch Gardens in Tampa, FL, is to encourage broader interest and participation in the equestrian sport of show jumping, as well as to educate the equestrian and non-equestrian alike by sharing the sports lore, fundamentals, history and greatest achievements. The National Horse Sports Foundation (NHSF) is a publicly supported charitable and educational organization whose purposes include providing financial and technical support for amateur equestrian programs for adults and children including therapeutic riding and competitions for the disabled.
