Irish
Sport Horses make a strong impression at Zurich CSI***** |
The
Zurich (SUI) CSI***** took place over last weekend, January 30th
to February 2nd 2003.

Mr.
Springfield (ISH) set a difficult precedent by winning the
opening Thursday’s 1m50 Credit Suisse Grand Prix, ridden
by Robert Smith (GBR).
In
the Movenpick Opening Competition (1m40), World Champion Dermott
Lennon (IRE) rode Ginger Watt (ISH) into second place and
was followed into fourth place by Quick Flash (ISH) ridden
by Samantha McIntosh (BUL).

Friday’s
classes saw Dermott Lennon (IRE) in action on both Liscalgot
(ISH) and Ginger Watt (ISH). Dermott rode Liscalgot (ISH) into
fourth place in the Mercedes Swiss Master 1m50 class and came
fifth in the Liebherr Prize 1m50 class. With Ginger Watt (ISH)
he took seventh place, behind Quick Flash (ISH) and Samantha
McIntosh’s (BUL) sixth, in the Mercedes Jump & Drive
class. |
Saturday
brought Quick Flash (ISH) and Ginger Watt (ISH) together again as
they shared joint fifth in the Forbo Knock Out 1m40 class.
The
Pontedera (ITA) CSI B also took place over last weekend. At this
show Irish Sport Horse Stallion Coolcorron Cool Diamond was ridden
by Robert Splaine (IRE) to come fifth in Sunday’s Grand Prix.
