The ‘Ugly Duckling’ That Has Changed Into A "Beautiful Swan"

Event rider Bianca Bairstow says a new horse feed has transformed her chestnut gelding from an ‘ugly duckling’ into a ‘beautiful swan’.

Bianca, of Sandhole Farm, Crowton, near Northwich, Cheshire, left the gelding, named Sir Humphrey, out in the field until he turned four due to her commitment with other horses.

“Unfortunately, whilst he was in the field, everyone who saw him enjoyed a laugh at his expense because he was so ugly”, said Bianca.

“Since he has been brought in and started under saddle about two months ago he has been fed Super Molichop Shreddi and a low energy coarse mix.

“He has been transformed from an ugly duckling to a beautiful swan”, she commented.

Bianca said Humphrey had just started to jump cross-country fences and was aimed at his first British Eventing Intro one-day event in March.

“Humphrey gleams with health and has the correct amount of energy to carry out his work without any excessive fizziness”, said Bianca.

“I am extremely pleased with Super Molichop Shreddi and are now feeding the rest of the yard on this new diet”, she added.

The new Super Molichop range of feeds was recently launched by Youngs Animal Feeds Ltd., of Congleton, Cheshire.
