Coat Color Genetics

Coat Color Genetics, written by Dr. Jim and Lynda McCall, will soon be
offered as an online college course which earns students a certificate of
recognition.
The course is available from Success Is Easy Distance Learning, which now
provides an online horse training course through community colleges as
noncredit continuing education. In addition to Training Performance Horses
and Coat Color Genetics, Success Is Easy is developing a series of courses
which includes health care and nutrition.
"The McCalls are nationally recognized for their expertise in horse
behavior, training and management," said Don Blazer, president of Success Is
Easy. "It is the knowledge of such experts and their ability to present the
information which makes our online courses so valuable to the students,"
Blazer said.
Dr. Jim McCall was instrumental in the development of horse programs at
Texas A&M University, the University of Maryland and Louisiana Tech
University. The McCalls have written more than 400 articles for leading
horse Magazine s and they write a syndicated column, The Pool of Knowledge,
which deals with horse care and management.
Coat Color Genetics is presented as eight lessons. At the end of each
lesson, the student takes a quiz which is reviewed by the McCalls. Comments
are returned to the students with a special link that takes the student to
the next lesson. The McCalls meet with students weekly in a chat room to
discuss specific questions.
A sample of the text from one of the lessons, plus some quiz questions is
available online at www.donblazer.com. Registration information, course fees
and brief descriptions of each course can also be viewed.
Success Is Easy Distance Learning courses can be started at anytime. The
students work at their own pace and have no deadline for completion of the
courses. Each course can be downloaded as hard copy, can be viewed on
screen, and can be saved to the student's computer.
