A Call For Horse Shoes

Gladstone, NJ—March 17, 2003—Horse shoes from Show Jumpers that have represented the USA in competition (e.g. Nations/World Cups; Pan Am/ Olympic Games etc.) are being sought. Shoes from these horses are being cast into a legendary glass sculpture that will be auctioned next February at the Denim and Diamonds Gala in Wellington, Fla. to benefit the USET.

This glass sculpture is being designed and created by NJ equine glass artist Mary Beth. Mary Beth melds her love of horses with her passion of glass, creating stunning and unique pieces of art. Having the great fortune to apprentice with world-renowned Master Craftsman, Rudolph H. Buenz, Mary Beth learned the age-old medieval craft of traditional glass painting, whose traditions she continues in design and execution at her studio.

Owners and riders who have shoes from such horses and would like to be included in this sculpture project are asked to send them directly to Mary Beth, Glass Horse Studio 120 Warbasse Junction Road, Lafayette, NJ 07848. For further information, please contact Mary Beth at 973-383-0038 or Gary Jaworski at USET at 908-234-1251 Ext.17.
