King wins $75,000 Palm Beach PDP Capital Master Cup Grand Prix |
Carling
King (ISH), ridden by Kevin Babington (IRL), ruled supreme yesterday,
February 29th, to take top placing in the $75,000 Palm Beach PDP
Capital Master Cup Grand Prix. Also competing in the US over the
weekend were fellow Irish Sport Horses, Ado Annie, McGuinness and
Hilton Flight. These horses competed in the $25,000 Indio Ariat
Grand Prix last Friday with Ado Annie (ISH) ridden by Will Simpson
(USA) taking third place, McGuinness (ISH) and Rich Fellers (USA)
finishing sixth and Hilton Flight
(ISH) ridden by Richard Spooner (USA) landing eighth. Hilton Flight
(ISH) and Richard Spooner (USA) also took eighth in Sundays $50,000
Indio King Shavings Grand Prix.
Also competing over the weekend, at the Vejer De La Frontera I CSI
3* in Spain, Diamond Carat (ISH) was ridden by Niall Talbot (IRE)
to finish second in last Fridays Niza Cars (1m40) class. Sundays
Vejer De La Frontera Grand Prix saw Samantha McIntosh (BUL) ride
Calvaro Star (ISH) to finish in eighth place.
