The US Showjumping circuit has been a successful jumping ground for Irish Sport Horses recently. Furistos Treasure (ISH), ridden by Tricia O'Connor (USA), made it to the jump off of the Ocala, Florida $50,000 King Shavings Grand Prix on Sunday, February 22nd (one of only two horses from a competitive field to do so) to finish in second place.
Last weekend the Indio, USA CSI took place with Thursdays $25,000 Ariat Grand Prix finishing with McGuinness (ISH) ridden by Rich Fellers (USA) in third place and Bohemio (ISH) ridden by F. Fernandez Senderos (MEX) taking tenth. The $50,000 King Shavings Grand Prix on Sunday last finished with Eezy (ISH) ridden by Duncan McFarlane (USA) in third place and McGuinness (ISH) ridden by Rich Fellers (USA) taking seventh.
Back in Europe, at the Paris Bercy CSI W (March 4th to 6th), That's Life (ISH) was ridden by Michel Hecart (FRA) to win Fridays Prix des Ecoliers 1m40 class, following their second placing in the opening Thursdays Prix PHS 1m40 class. Further afield competing in the United Arab Emirates, Covers Pride (ISH), owned by Sheikha Latifa Al Maktoum, was ridden by Ahmed Al Juneibi to win a major National Championship in Ajman last Friday, March 5th.
