A cheque for £1,000, sponsored by the BSJA, together with the magnificent Pegasus trophy were presented to Ben Maher at Towerlands Equestrian Centre on Sunday evening 21st March 2004, when he recorded the highest number of points on Alfredo II to win the BSJA Winter A & B League.

Ben was placed first, second twice and fifth and sixth on this good French bred 16.1hh 10 year old chestnut gelding, owned by his father Richard Maher.

In addition to his points with Alfredo II, Ben also won the Winter A & B at Patchetts Premier Show riding Vento.

Whilst living at Elsenham, near Bishops Stortford Hertfordshire Ben is currently trained by Stephen Smith and based in Lowsonford, Warwickshire.
