Opens Nations Cup Campaign On Sunday At La Baule, France |
IRELAND’S
FIRST show jumping squad to do battle in the 2003 Samsung Nations
Cup Superleague appear at La Baule, France, on Sunday, May 11. They
are:

Cian O’Connor
Robert Splaine
Billy Twomey
Ireland
is one of only eight nations in the world to have qualified for
the Superleague, and one of the prime venues will be the Dublin
Horse Show on August 8, when the Aga Khan Trophy takes its place
in the Superleague calendar.
But
this weekend, the first Irish team will be up against the best riders
and horses from France, Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, Britain,
Italy, and Belgium in the long-awaited opening round of 2003.
Ireland
took the League title in the 2000/2001 Nations Cup season, but this
is the first time any team will have taken part in the elite Superleague.
