WITH A MOUNTING degree of confidence, Irish riders at the Nations Cup show in La Baule, France, continue to rack up the major places in the events leading up to the Nations Cup Superleague competition on Sunday.

Tonight (Friday) Ireland's Billy Twomey won the prestigious La Baule Grand Prix, riding <Luidam>, while Robert Splaine and <Coolcorron Cool Diamond> took Fourth.

Irish riders Twomey, Splaine and Cian O'Connor have all now taken first places in the opening two days of La Baule, together with a reassuring number of other Top Five placings.
