U.S. Vaulter Wins Women's Division In Slovakia

Mari Inouye, from Palo Alto, California, competing for Sundance Vaulters, won the women’s competition held Sunday, April 27, at CVI** Nitra, Slovakia, on Scarletto Sun (Sonnenstrahl x Simone) a 14-year-old Trakehner gelding owned by Phoebe H. Cooke of Woodside, CA. Having won both rounds, Inouye’s overall score was 7.913. Scarletto Sun won the best horse award.

“Mari’s performances wowed the audience with their grace and seemingly effortless qualities”. Her Kur was a great end to the competition as the audience filled the stands to watch her move around the top of Scarletto, seeming not to touch his back.” commented Candace Howe, San Diego, California who served as Chef d’Equipe.
