IRELAND'S Niall Talbot had a bumper day at the three-star event in Modena, Italy today (Saturday).

Featuring in the top ten placings in almost every class, Talbot fought off Dutch ace Angelique Hoorn to take the No.1 spot in the speed class with his Belgian-bred ten yr-old <Fancy Brown>, and was third in the six yr-old class with <Libero Boy>, duplicating his place in a similar class yesterday. Team mate Harry Marshall was also in the running in the six yr-old competition, riding <Tuxedo>.

Talbot also clocked up a seventh and a tenth place in other classes tonight.
