IRELAND'S Marion Hughes won the mini Grand Prix at Fontainebleau, France, this afternoon (Sunday), riding <Galileo>.

Finishing almost three seconds ahead of her nearest rival, France's Joelle Dagut, Hughes will feel comfortable going forward to the first of the Super League Nations Cups in La Baule, France, next week, where she joins team-mates Jessica Kurten, Peter Charles, Cian O'Connor and Kevin Babington. A selection has not yet been made as to which four riders will represent Ireland in the Nations Cup.

Cian O'Connor finished third in the mini Grand Prix today with <ABC Landliebe>, and went on to take second place in the main Grand Prix event later in the day with <Waterford Crystal>.
