McMahon Wins Hamina Grand Prix

PROVING THAT THE SELECTORS were correct in selecting him for the Finnish Nations Cup competition at Hamina, Clones-born Clem McMahon today (Saturday) racked up his second victory at the venue, taking the Grand Prix comfortably on <Hermes De Reve>.

On his first outing at this level, McMahon - who currently leads the Kerrygold National Grand prix league at home - also won the 1m40 class on <Dark Flight> yesterday.

These wins, as well as Top Five places over the last 36 hours by team-mates Cian O'Connor, Capt. Gerry Flynn and Lt. Shane Carey, now makes Ireland favourites to win tomorrow's (Sunday) Finland Nations Cup at Hamina.
