Recent Results of Irish Sport Horses competing in Sweden, Italy, France, US, UK, Bulgaria and Belgium

Irish Sport Horses continue to compete well in various parts of the world. At the Falsterbo CSIO 5* in Sweden (July 10th-13th) Richmont Park (ISH) ridden by Royne Zetterman (SWE) made up one quarter of the winning Swedish team in Fridays Samsung Nations Cup. Ireland came fourth in this class despite the double clear jumped by Gelvin Clover (ISH) and Clement McMahon, one of only three double clears in the final top four team placings.

Richmont Park (ISH) went on to finish fifth in Sundays Falsterbo Grand Prix. Also competing at Falsterbo was Killossery Kruisette (ISH) ridden by Lt. David O'Brien (IRL) to win Thursdays MCR Cup 1m45 class in which Loughtown Atlanta (ISH) and C. Torres Garcia (ESP) came fifth. On Friday Lt. Shane Carey (IRL) and Lismakin (ISH) took third in the Stiffelsen Falsterbo Horse Show Pris 1m45. Lt. Carey also won Sundays BJ Trophy 1m40, followed into second place by Loughtown Atlanta (ISH) and C. Torres Garcia (ESP).

At the San Patrignano CSI 4* in Italy (July 18th-20th) Mr. Flanagan (ISH) and D. Mascella (FRA) came third in Sundays Premio Aeroporti di Milano 1m40.

Competition at Le Pin Au Haras in France saw That's Life and Michel Hecart (FRA) win last Saturdays 1m40 class while in the US Ado Annie (ISH) ridden by Will Simpson (ISH) took seventh in Sundays $175,000 Grand Prix at the San Juan de Capistrano CSI 4*.

Quick Flash (ISH) represented Irish Sport Horses well at the Sofia CSIO 4*W in Bulgaria last weekend as a member of the home nations winning team in the Bulgaria Samsung Nations Cup 4*. Ridden by Samantha McIntosh (BUL) he also came second in Saturdays 1m30 class. In England, Mr Springfield (ISH) and Robert Smith (GBR) won last Saturdays Chester Championship at the Chester CSI**.

Finally, Lt. David O'Brien (IRL) and Lismore Clover (ISH) brought home a Silver Medal from the Equestrian Military World Championship 2003 which were held in Belgium last weekend.
