USET Awards Amanda Warrington Fund Grants To Jessica Moore and Kristin Schmolze

GLADSTONE, NEW JERSEY—June 30, 2003—The United States Equestrian Team (USET) has awarded Amanda Warrington Fund Grants to Jessica Moore of Aiken, SC and Kristin Schmolze of Montville, NJ.

The Grants are made available to Eventing riders who participate in the USET Eventing Developing Rider program. Grants come from a fund established by the family of the late Eventing rider Amanda Warrington.

Moore and Schmolze were chosen by a three-member panel consisting of Peter Green, Chairman of the USET Eventing Selectors; David O’Connor, USET Developing Rider Coach; and Dan Warrington, representing the Warrington family. Each rider will receive a grant of $5,000 to help offset training expenses. The grant recipients also receive a certificate presented by USET Eventing Selector Ann Getchell at the Groton House Horse Trials in Hamilton, MA on June 29.

The United States Equestrian Team is a non-profit organization that selects, trains, equips and finances equestrians of the highest possible standard to represent our country in major international competition, including the Olympic Games and the World Championships. To accomplish this, the USET seeks out and nurtures the development of talented athletes - riders, drivers and horses - and provides the support and guidance they need to help them attain their fullest potential. For more information on the USET, please call (908) 234-1251, or visit USET ONLINE at www.uset.org
