Eventing Ireland Announces Changes To Olympic Squad

THE Selection Committee of Eventing Ireland announced today (Friday) that Sarah Daly has withdrawn her horse <Test Flight> as first reserve to the Irish Olympic Eventing team, due to veterinary advice. Furthermore, Sherelle Duke has informed the Selectors that she no longer wishes to be considered for the 2004 Olympics.

The Selection Committee has therefore now appointed Trevor Smith and Dunrath Hill as second reserve to the Olympic Eventing team. First reserve is Jane O’Flynn and Kilnadeema Star.

Trevor Smith (34) is from Tandragee in Co. Armagh, and represented Ireland in Eventing at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
