Equestrian Celebrity Gossip Columnist ‘Hildegard Frostbite’ Joins Towerheads Staff

WELLINGTON, FL – July 7, 2004 – Hildegard Frostbite, the well-known equestrian celebrity gossip columnist, has announced that she has joined the staff of Towerheads.com as a regular contributor. Formerly associated with a Wellington, Florida-based equestrian Magazine , Hildegard is expanding her horizons internationally with the move to Towerheads. In her new column, Hildegard, who is known for her insider’s view of the hunter/jumper world, will expand her coverage to include dressage and polo. A new Hildegard Frostbite column will appear on the popular Towerheads.com website twice each month.

Hildegard Frostbite made her media debut in 1989 and was arguably the first gossip columnist to focus exclusively on the hunter/jumper world. Met with immediate acceptance from the hunter/jumper community for not only the freshest news but also hilarious commentary, Hildegard’s column led the way for ‘gossip’ to be included in many major equestrian news outlets. Hildegard was the predecessor for other famous grand dames of the equestrian gossip scene including Miss Manners, Buffy And Nell, Muffy Muckraker, and Letitia L'Equestre.

After a hiatus of several years, Hildegard returned to the equestrian gossip scene in 2003, with a ready-made fan club that once again relied on her for the big scoops, the telltale blind items, and the barn buzz from coast-to-coast. Hildegard’s famous blurb reveals her gossip style: “The Queen of Quip, The Diva of Dish, The Guru of Gossip … No one has the gutsy see-all/tell-all touch of the cold-hearted Ms. Frostbite.” Hildegard’s keen coverage of the hunter/jumper scene merited mention in the book A Sunday Horse, Inside the Grand Prix Show Jumping Circuit by Vicky Moon, released earlier this year by Capital Books, Inc.

Hildegard is currently in negotiations to syndicate her new Hildegard Frostbite column and expects to have the product available to media outlets later this year. To contact Hildegard Frostbite via email, writer to her at Hfrostbite@aol.com
