IIrish Sport Horses claimed second and third positions in the $175,000 Chrysler Classic Derby (1m60) class at Spruce Meadows yesterday (July 11th). These were McGuinness (ISH) ridden by Rich Fellers (USA) to take second with Hilton Flight (ISH) and Richard Spooner (USA) following one place behind them in third. It was a busy weekend for these horses who also competed in the Lafarge Cup (1m50) $40,000 class which finished with McGuinness (ISH) and Rich Fellers (USA) taking second and Hilton Flight (ISH) ridden by Richard Spooner (USA) in sixth.

Three Irish Sport Horses helped secure success for the Irish Nations Cup team which was placed second in the Sweden Samsung Nations Cup 5* class at the Falsterbo CSIO 5* last friday (July 9th). Capt. Gerry Flynn (IRL) rode Bornacoola (ISH), with Chippison (ISH) and Marie Burke (IRL) and Gelvin Clover (ID) and Clement McMahon making up the rest of the team. Eezy (ISH) ridden by Duncan McFarlane (NZL) also competed at Falsterbo, winning Sundays BJ Trophy table A class.

Mr. Springfield (ISH) jumped into second place in the Equipe DTR Prijs 1m50 class at the Geesteren, Netherlands CSI 4* (July 8th-11th) last Thursday, ridden by Robert Smith (GBR).
