Clicker Training In The Spotlight

"Clicker training" for horses will come under the spotlight when Alexandra Kurland, world leader in the new technique, pays a flying visit to the UK in October.

She will hold one clinic at the Osbaldeston Equestrian Centre, Lancashire, on October 21 and use "volunteer" horses and ponies to show how sounds from a clicker device can be used to speed up and improve their training.

The clinic is being organised by horse behavourist Linda Pearson, who hopes to arrange a series around the country next year.

Advance tickets, available by calling 01706 215567 or 07788 103551, will cost £13 (children under 12, £6.50) and at the door £17 and £8.50.
