The Fun Ride on Saturday, organised by the ILPH (International League for the Protection of Horses) and Central Horse News, will give horse riders the unique opportunity, by kind permission of local landowners, to ride either a route of 9 or 16 miles through some beautiful south Northamptonshire and Oxfordshire countryside.

ILPH Equine Ambassador, rescued horse, ILPH Bob the Cob will be officially starting off the Ride from Walltree House Farm on the airfield at 9.10 am. Proceeds from the Ride will be divided between the ILPH and a number of children's charities. Entries accepted on the field - £10 for the shorter ride and £15 for the 16 mile ride.

Paramedics and farrier on site all day, with an equine vet on standby in case of emergencies. There will also be an equine car boot sale (pitches available on the day) and a pig roast and all day breakfast stall.

Bob will be doing the honours again the next day by opening Madness 2003 at 12 noon followed by a parachute display courtesy of Hinton Skydiving Centre one of the event's major sponsors.

Entry onto the Madness 2003 showground is by donation and visitors on the day will be entertained by a Musical Ride, Dog Displays, Husky Driving and horse displays including dressage, LaTrec, and carriage driving. 6 horse welfare organisations will be participating and exhibiting their rescued horses, ponies and donkeys..
