The new online Equine Science Certificate wins award…

The Council of Ontario Universities, Office for Partnership for Advanced Skills (OPAS) recently awarded the OPAS Teaching with Technology Award, Workplace Learning category, to the Equine Science Certificate. This program is an educational partnership between the Equine Research Centre and the Office of Open Learning, University of Guelph.

The award recognizes this new Certificate program, offered entirely online, for demonstrating effective pedagogy, for its innovative use of technology to enhance learning, and for addressing a real need in the equine industry for a current and accessible training program for professional development.

One of the mandates of the Equine Research Centre (ERC) is to offer new educational opportunities for the equine industry in Canada and internationally. The Office of Open Learning is recognized for its innovative online courses and professional development programs.
